Our Regional Varietal wines express the regional character and harmony of Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough viticulture. They are strongly varietal, elegant, crisp and refreshing. These are wines to enjoy within a year or two of vintage.
Fresh, lively fruit aromas with nuances of oak on the bouquet and palate. Typically, ripe peachy stonefruit flavours are balanced with a lovely creamy texture, giving structure, balance and length on the palate. Lively tropical / citrus flavours are enhanced by subtle oak maturation, allowing the wine to develop an appealing creamy lingering finish.
This wine is a blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Full berry fruit aromas with subtle hints of oak filling the bouquet. The cabernet sauvignon in the blend provides rounded full-bodied flavours while the merlot imparts soft fruit characters on the middle palate. The flavours are firm, finishing with a ripe, smooth and gracefully balanced varietal mix.
Typically bright and lemon-fresh in colour. Fresh fruit characters dominate the aroma with underlying hints of tropical fruit filling out the bouquet. The palate presents a snappy mouthful of grapefruit and mandarin and there is a zingy finish suggesting light citrus and crunchy apple.
